What is temperature difference?
ANS- "Temperature difference" simply means the amount by which two temperatures vary from each other.Delta T= T2-T1
In which materials, temperature difference can generate e.m.f?
ANS- A temperature difference can generate e.m.f. (electromotive force) in materials due to the Seebeck effect.
1.Conductors (Metals). If two different metals are joined and their junctions are kept at different temperatures, an emf is generated.
2.Semiconductors-Semiconductors show a much stronger Seebeck effect than metals.
What is per unit temperature?
ANS - The phrase “per unit temperature” means that some quantity is being measured for each degree of temperature (1 °C, 1 K, etc.). It’s a way of expressing how much a property changes when temperature changes by 1 unit.
What is electrical conductivity of material?
Ans- The electrical conductivity of a material is a measure of how easily electric current can flow through it when a voltage is applied. Electrical conductivity (?) is the reciprocal of electrical resistivity (?).
What is thermal conductivity of material?
Ans- The thermal conductivity of a material is a measure of its ability to conduct (transfer) heat.
